Mobile Sterbehilfe in den Niederlande – Tod auf Abruf
I don’t really know how to categorize this article which recently appeared in Germany’s Suedeutsche Zeitung. The title translates something like this: Death on Wheels – Death on Call. Holland has the most liberal euthanasia laws in the entire Western world. These are mobile units that will be sent out to euthanize the terminally ill. Nice. It will only take 2 injections: one to put the patient to sleep and the other to stop the heart and breathing. I’ve posted here two articles. First, the original Suedeutsche Zeitung article; and the second, commentary on this new Dutch service from the U.K.’s The Telegraph. Where are we headed?
Elderly people in the Netherlands are so fearful of being killed by doctors that they carry cards saying they do not want euthanasia, according to a campaigner who says allowing assistant suicide in Britain would put the vulnerable at risk.
